CAZREN To Host 2nd Annual Green Business Forum:  "Renewable Energy & Green Design for Yavapai County"

CAZREN presents the 2nd annual Green Business Forum, bringing together private industry, community and government to focus on Moving Toward a Greener Economy. 

CATALYST Principal Matt Ackerman will be a featured speaker at this year's event.  His presentation will focus on the need to move beyond 'green building' into systems-design at a community level. According to Ackerman, "You can have the greenest building in the world, but unless we're dealing with sustainability on a planning level (how we're actually laying out our communities), we're not getting the job done."

Community planning for sustainability involves such ideas as energy distribution, food production, water conservation and transportation issues--as well as consideration and support for mixed uses and higher densities in new development.
