CATALYST Principals to Present Sustainability Concepts at Upcoming Conferences FLAGSTAFF, AZ- With their long
history of community
involvement and public speaking, Catalyst Principals Jeff Zucker and
Matt Ackerman have been invited to speak at two upcoming conferences on
topics ranging from LEED Certification to Sustainable Planning to
Cohousing Communities.
October 13, Jeff will speak at the "Aging Successfully Seminar", an eight week series of lectures sponsored by Greater Phoenix Cohousing. Jeff, the founder of Prescott's Manzanita Village Cohousing Community and former director of COHOCOM, a company organized to foster the growth of cohousing communities in Northern Arizona and beyond, will be discussing Co-Development, Co-Design, and his concept for the "Village Green" (more about that later). From October 26-28, the Navajo Housing Authority will be
hosting the "Going Green in Native Communities" Green Building
Conference in Flagstaff. Matt, who has given presentations on LEED as
well as Sustainable Planning to groups as diverse as the American
Planning Association and The League of Women Voters, will present on
one or both of these topics. Jeff will speak to the issues surrounding
'green' development and the need to 'leapfrog'
polluting and inefficient technologies, as we seek to improve quality
of life in developing communities. CATALYST ARCHITECTURE is an award winning, full-service sustainable design firm with offices in Prescott, and Flagstaff Arizona.
