Prinicpal Jeffrey L. Zucker, LEED AIA Resumes Role as Project Architect at Arcosanti


CORDES JUNCTION, AZ- CATALYST ARCHITECTURE Principal Jeffrey L. Zucker is returning to his roots as the Resident Architect at Arcosanti

From 1978 through 1981, Mr. Zucker was employed at Arcosanti, first as the Construction Supervisor of the Soleri Residence and Studio (under construction at
left, Zucker in orange hard hat), and then as the Project Architect of the Collie Soleri Performing Arts Center. 

Jeffrey will be a part time consultant to the project, mentoring young architectural students, checking on the progress of the drawings, and helping to provide direction to future projects at the “Urban Laboratory”.
 
Mr. Zucker is currently
designing the interior of a studio apartment within the "Crescent" at Arcosanti– with the help of Colorado Interior Designer Shawnee Ryan, of Duir Designs– where Jeffrey will reside when consulting at Arcosanti.

Jeffrey L. Zucker, LEED AIA brings over 30 years of experience in environmentally sensitive and community-based design.  An apprentice to internationally renowned architect Paolo Soleri, Jeff served as Project Architect and Construction Supervisor at Arcosanti.  Jeff's first home in Prescott received a citation from the Energy Efficient Building Association (EEBA) for residential construction. More recently, his commitment to conserving resources and fostering community led him to create the first cohousing community in Arizona: Manzanita Village.
