Catalyst Architecture Displays Local "Green" Work at 2007 Green to Gold Conference

PRESCOTT, AZ- Catalyst Architecture, LLC joined other Green-to-Gold members, potential members, and interested individuals this month at Prescott College’s Crossroads Café to deepen connections, further its goals, and enjoy a great meal.

Green-to-Gold is a regional ‘green’ business network providing leadership, education, advocacy, marketing, and resources that encourage environmentally and socially responsible business relations and practices.   Although diverse in their offerings – from architects, landscape architects, builders, and realtors, to investment counselors, government officials, educators, merchants, and others– their shared values seek to benefit their community, their customers and staff, and of course, the environment.  As suggested by Co-op America, a national green business network, Green-to-Gold member businesses and organizations are “values-driven, not simply profit driven.”

Catalyst Architecture was excited to share our recently completed Project-- the Highlands Center For Natural History's- James Learning Center, which is expected to become Prescott's first LEED certified building.  The new facility is the educational and administrative home for the Highlands Center for Natural History. The 4,250 sq. ft. demonstration facility is completely off-grid. Natural daylight and ventilation along with a well designed and properly oriented building envelope, allows over 70% of the buildings heating and cooling needs to be supplied passively.

Catalyst Architecture
exchanged information with others at the conference, as we continue to craft meaningful relationships that reflect our shared values and commitment to provide earth-conscious architecture, community design, and planning.
