Bio-Glass– a 100% Recycled Glass Product New to the market in early 2007, Bio-Glass from Coverings, Etc. is a solid surface material made from 100% recycled (either pre- or post-consumer) glass, that is partially melted and agglomerated under pressure. The translucent non-porous material provides visual depth to easily maintianed countertops, walls, and floors. Bio-Glass is available as 110-inch by 47-inch slabs 4.7 inches thick, with a slightly textured slip-resistant surface, and also in smooth surface slabs for countertops of approximately 4 inches thick. Bio-Glass is being introduced in either white or light green. Blue, brown, and dark green versions are expected to be available soon.
