 2007 Environmental Award RecipientWes Jackson of The Land Institute Presents The Keynote Address On Energy, Agriculture, and Rapid Climate Change Saturday, February 17 @ 7pm The Land Institute's visionary agricultural research is geared towards developing diverse, perennial grain agricultural systems that are ecologically sound as the former prairies which they often replace, and which produce food while protecting and preserving soils, water, and biodiversity. Life magazine predicted Jackson will be recognized as one of the "100 important Americans of the 20th century" and in 2006, the Smithsonian magazine named him one of "35 Who Made a Difference."
