Based on spiritual principles of Vaastu geometry, this 4,500 sq.ft. community gathering hall and 1,300 sq.ft. peripheral structures are designed around a 3-dimensional Vaastu grid intended to align the healing and nurturing energies of the building.  The passive solar post and beam structure features non-load bearing straw bale walls and interior rock gabions for thermal mass.  Sustainable features of the project include natural daylighting, passive ventilation, photovoltaic panels and roof water catchment.
